Two decades of shipping software that has to keep working
Zenith Forge LLC is a small engineering practice in San Diego, California. Small on purpose.
We've spent about twenty years building software for the web — and, more importantly, keeping it running. Platforms that construction companies open every morning. Apps that crews use on job sites with no signal. Systems where a bad schema decision costs someone a real day of work.
That experience shapes how we work now. We're skeptical of architecture that looks impressive and maintains badly. We'd rather ship a smaller thing that's correct than a large thing that's nearly right. And we assume we'll be the ones living with the code, because usually we are.
The AI work follows the same rule. Agents and automation are genuinely useful when they're wired into the systems where the work already happens, with evaluation, monitoring and a human in the loop where the stakes justify it. We build that version — not the demo version.
We stay small because it's what makes the rest possible: you talk to the person writing the code, decisions happen in one conversation, and we only take on work we can do properly.

You work with the engineer building it. No ticket queue, no account manager relaying messages, no chatbot.
We'll tell you no
If a feature is a bad idea, the timeline is unrealistic, or we're the wrong shop for the job, you'll hear it early.
